Farms
Farming has changed considerable in the past few years and farmers have had to diversify to maintain a living.
Kent is not known as the Garden of England without reason.A number of traditional orchards still remain and just a few miles away hops are still grown. The nearby village of Smarden was used as the location for the popular TV series Darling Buds of May.
A thriving fruit and vegetable business is growing. Livestock is also an important part of the local agricultural scene. The spread of Farmers Markets provide excellent opportunities to purchase high quality and fresh produce diect from the producers.
A number of farms have been listed some of which will have land outside the village as well.
